Overview

The Sleep Timer is a web-based tool that helps you schedule when your media should automatically stop playing, perfect for falling asleep to music, podcasts, or videos.

How to Use

Setting Your Preferences

  1. Wake Up Time (Optional)

    • Set your desired wake-up time using the hour and minute inputs

    • Choose AM or PM

    • This helps calculate your optimal bedtime

  2. Bedtime (Required for Timer)

    • Set your planned bedtime using the hour and minute inputs

    • Choose AM or PM

    • This determines when the sleep timer will stop your media

Starting the Timer

  1. Click the “Sleep Now” button with the 💤 icon

  2. The active timer will appear showing:

    • Countdown until your media stops

    • Your scheduled stop time

    • Control buttons

Timer Controls

  • Pause/Resume: Temporarily pause the countdown

  • Stop: Cancel the timer completely

Example Usage

  • Set bedtime to 11:00 PM and click “Sleep Now”

  • Listen to music or a podcast while falling asleep

  • The timer will automatically stop playback at 11:00 PM

  • Wake up refreshed without media playing all night

Tips

  • Set your bedtime 15-30 minutes earlier than when you actually plan to sleep

  • The timer works best with media players that have automatic stop functionality

  • You can use either 12-hour or 24-hour format for input
